One Day Plugin Terms of Service
Effective Date: February 22, 2026
Last Updated: March 18, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your participation in the One Day Plugin service (“Service”) offered by Driven Development, LLC, doing business as Wicked Plugins (“Provider,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By submitting an idea, scheduling a session, or otherwise participating in the Service, you (“Participant,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not participate.
1. Description of Service
One Day Plugin is a collaborative, single-day plugin development session in which the Provider and Participant meet online via Google Meet to design and build a custom WordPress plugin using AI-assisted development tools (currently Claude Code). The session is limited to a maximum of four (4) hours and will be scheduled between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM Pacific Time.
The Service is offered at no charge for the Provider’s time. Third-party costs, such as API subscriptions or external services required for plugin functionality, are the Participant’s responsibility and will be discussed prior to the session.
2. Experimental Nature of Service
This Service is experimental and is being offered as a pilot program. It is not a commercial product and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice.
The Provider is using this Service to explore the capabilities and limitations of AI-assisted plugin development. You acknowledge that the process, tools, and outcomes are inherently experimental and may not produce production-ready results.
3. Participant Selection
Participation is by application only. Submitting an idea does not guarantee selection. The Provider reserves sole discretion to accept, decline, or prioritize submissions based on factors including but not limited to: clarity of the proposed idea, estimated feasibility within a single-day session, and alignment with the experimental goals of the Service. The Provider is under no obligation to explain the reasoning behind any selection decision.
4. Session Scope & Limitations
The Service is limited to a single collaborative session of up to four (4) hours. There is no obligation on the part of the Provider to continue work beyond the scheduled session, provide follow-up sessions, or complete any unfinished functionality after the session ends.
If the plugin cannot be completed within the allotted time, the Provider will deliver whatever has been built to that point. The Participant may then decide independently how to proceed.
This Service is solely for the purpose of developing a custom WordPress plugin. It does not include technical support, website troubleshooting, consulting on existing plugins, or any services outside the scope of building the agreed-upon plugin.
5. Intellectual Property
Upon delivery, the Participant owns the custom plugin created during the session, including the right to use, modify, and distribute it as they see fit.
The Provider retains the right to create derivative works based on the concepts, techniques, patterns, and general ideas explored during the session. This means the Provider may independently develop plugins inspired by similar functionality, but will not sell or distribute the Participant’s specific custom plugin without the Participant’s explicit written permission.
If the Provider believes the plugin (or a version of it) may be useful to others, the Provider may request permission to list it in the WordPress Plugin Directory or market it through Wicked Plugins. Such distribution will only occur with the Participant’s explicit written consent.
6. No Guarantees
The Provider makes no guarantees, representations, or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the Service or any plugin produced through it. This includes, but is not limited to, guarantees of: completion, functionality, performance, compatibility, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or error-free operation.
The plugin is delivered “as-is” at the conclusion of the session. The Provider does not guarantee that the plugin will be free of bugs, security vulnerabilities, or compatibility issues with your WordPress installation, theme, other plugins, or future WordPress updates.
7. No Technical Support
The Service does not include any post-session technical support. Once the session concludes and the plugin has been delivered, the Provider has no obligation to provide bug fixes, updates, maintenance, compatibility patches, troubleshooting, or any other form of ongoing support.
You are solely responsible for the installation, use, maintenance, and any future development of the plugin after delivery.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Provider shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your participation in the Service or your use of any plugin produced through the Service.
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise), even if the Provider has been advised of the possibility of such damages. This includes, without limitation, damages arising from: data loss or corruption, website downtime or malfunction, security breaches, lost revenue or profits, business interruption, or any other damages resulting from the installation or use of the plugin.
9. Data Loss & Backups
The Provider is not responsible for any loss, corruption, or destruction of data that may occur during the session or as a result of installing or using the plugin. You are strongly encouraged to create a full backup of your WordPress site (including files and database) before the session and before installing the plugin.
10. Use of AI Tools
The plugin will be developed with the assistance of AI tools, currently Claude Code by Anthropic. You acknowledge that AI-generated code may contain errors, unexpected behavior, or limitations. The Provider will make reasonable efforts to review and test AI-generated code during the session, but cannot guarantee its accuracy or completeness.
You also acknowledge that the AI tools used are third-party services subject to their own terms of service and limitations, and that the Provider has no control over the availability or behavior of those tools.
11. Confidentiality
The Provider will treat your plugin idea and any business information shared during the session with reasonable confidentiality. However, given the experimental and collaborative nature of the Service, the Provider cannot guarantee absolute confidentiality. You should avoid sharing highly sensitive information (such as passwords, financial credentials, or proprietary trade secrets) during the session unless absolutely necessary.
The Provider may publicly reference the Service and general descriptions of the types of plugins built (e.g., “an automation plugin for WooCommerce”) for promotional purposes, but will not disclose your name, business, or the specifics of your plugin without your permission.
12. Third-Party Services & Costs
Some plugins may require integration with third-party APIs, services, or platforms. Any costs associated with these third-party services are your sole responsibility. The Provider will discuss potential costs before the session so you can make an informed decision about whether to proceed.
The Provider is not responsible for the availability, reliability, pricing changes, or terms of any third-party service integrated into your plugin.
13. Cancellation & Rescheduling
Either party may cancel or request to reschedule a session with reasonable notice. The Provider reserves the right to cancel a session at any time for any reason. If the Provider cancels, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule or offer the spot to another participant.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Driven Development, LLC, its members, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the plugin, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in the State of Washington.
16. Changes to Terms
The Provider reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. If changes are made, the updated Terms will be posted with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued participation in the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the Provider regarding the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, whether electronic, oral, or written.
By submitting your idea or participating in a One Day Plugin session, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
