Settings
The Settings screen lets you control basic information about your block.
Name
This is the name of your block. This is what will show up when you go to insert your block when editing a page.
Category
Blocks are organized into categories. Use the category dropdown to select the category you want your block to appear in or add your own custom category.
Note: The category list displays built-in block categories as well as any custom categories you add. You can rename or delete custom categories by going to Wicked Block Builder > Categories.
Description
The description appears under your block’s name when hovering over the block in the inserter. The description also appears under your block’s name in the sidebar when your block is selected in the editor.
Alignment Support
Alignment support lets you choose what alignment options will appear in the toolbar for your block. Note that your theme must support each option in order to work properly. For example, if your theme does not support the the Full option, your block will not appear as full-width even if you enable this option and change your block’s alignment to Full.
Status
The status setting controls the availability of your block in the editor. Only published blocks are available to insert into pages. You can use the draft status if you are working on a block that isn’t ready yet.
Important: if you add your block to a page and then change it to draft status, you will see an error message like “Your site doesn’t include support for the “wicked-block-builder/my-block” the next time you edit the page. You should only change blocks that aren’t in use to draft status.
Make Block Dynamic
Enable this option to make your block dynamic. Dynamic means that the front-end view of your block will be handled by a PHP file. When a block is dynamic, the settings on the Front-end View screen have no impact on the block. Learn more about dynamic blocks.
