Creating Conditional Blocks
Creating conditional blocks with Wicked Block Conditions is easy! To add a conditional block:
- Edit the page you want to add a conditional block to
- Add a block (or click on an existing block to select it)
- Make sure the “Block” tab is selected in the right sidebar of the editor
- Click the “Display Conditions” panel to expand it (if it isn’t already)
- Click “Add Condition”
This will open the “Edit Condition” panel for the condition you selected.
Condition Settings
All conditions have the following settings:
Label
Use the label field to give the condition a a descriptive label that helps you identify what the condition does. For example, if you’re adding a condition that checks if the current date is after October 9th, you could label it something like “After October 9”. This will make it easier to identify the condition and know what it does the next time you view the “Display Conditions” panel for the block.
Negate Condition
Negating a condition reverses the outcome of the condition. In other words, if the condition is true, but you negate it, the condition will fail and vice versa. Most of the time you probably won’t need this option but it can come in handy in more advanced scenarios.
