How long is my Wicked Folders Pro license valid for?
Licenses are valid for one year.
Will I be charged a renewal fee after my license expires?
No, you will only be charged if you decide to renew your license.
Will my folders stop working if I don’t renew my license?
Not at all. Your folders and all functionality will continue to work as before; however, you will no longer receive plugin updates including feature additions, enhancements, and security updates.
How many sites is a Wicked Folders Pro license valid for?
Wicked Folders Pro Personal is valid for one domain (including subdomains). Wicked Folders Pro Agency is valid on unlimited domains.
Does this plugin change my page’s or custom post types’ permalinks?
No, the plugin doesn’t modify pages or custom post types beyond controlling what folders they belong to.
Can I drag and drop to reorder pages?
No. Since the folder structure doesn’t tie into the page hierarchy, page re-ordering is not supported.
I installed the plugin, now what?
The plugin will automatically enable folder management for pages upon activation. To start organizing your pages into folders, go to the Pages screen in your WordPress admin. From there, click the “plus” icon in the Folders panel to add your first folder. Visit the plugin’s settings page at Settings > Wicked Folders to enable folders for custom post types.
How do I put a page in a folder?
There are two ways. The first is to navigate to the Pages screen, move your mouse over the page row in the pages list and drag and drop the page to the desired folder. Alternatively, you can edit the page and assign folders in the ‘Folders’ meta box in the right sidebar.
How do I put a page in multiple folders?
Edit the page and select the desired folders in the ‘Folders’ meta box in the right sidebar.
How do I remove a page from a folder?
Edit the page and uncheck the box next to the folder you want to remove it from in the ‘Folders’ meta box in the right sidebar.
Can I bulk add pages to a folder?
Yes. To add multiple pages to a folder at once, go to the ‘Pages’ screen in the admin, tick the checkmark box next to the pages you want to move, and drag them into the desired folder. Alternatively, you can tick the checkmark box next to the pages you want to move, select ‘Edit’ from the ‘Bulk Actions’ dropdown at the top of the screen, click ‘Apply’ and, from there, simply select the folder(s) you want to place the pages in and click ‘Update’.
How do I delete a folder?
Navigate to the folder you want to delete and click the “Delete Folder” link at the top.
What Happens If…
What happens when I delete a folder?
Folders work like categories. When you delete a folder, any pages that were in the folder are simply unassigned from that folder. The pages are not deleted or modified in any way.
If I delete a folder will the pages in the folder be deleted?
No, only the folder is deleted.
What happens if I disable Wicked Folders for a post type? Will I lose my folders?
No, your folders for that post type will remain in the database. If you’d like to access them again, simply re-enable folders for the post type.
